Martin Luther King Jr.
I am brave and courageous.
I wonder if my children will be treated fairly one day.
I hear the stillness and togetherness of harmony.
I see little white children and black children walking hand in hand one day.
I want peace for my people.
I am brave and courageous.
I pretend I am a white dove flying away with peace.
I feel love when others say hate.
I touch the hands of other black Americans as we walk hand in hand for liberty.
I worry that I will not live to see my dream come true.
I cry for my people who have lost their lives during this battle.
I am brave and courageous.
I understand the wound that my people feel.
I say peace when others say war.
I dream my children one day will be judged for the content of their character not the color of their skin.
I try to minister to others with my big words.
I hope my words will be a stained glass window to the future.
I am a brave and courageous.
